Malaria
Malaria is a rare disease, with less than 20,000 cases in the US each year, that is caused by plasmodium parasite that is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito. If it is left untreated people infected can develop severe complications and may die. Though, it is important to know about if traveling to an infected country. This disease can cause serious harm if the awareness is not great enough.
